1) A web app that could provide a customer with quotes from multiple solar websites (a kayak type service for the solar industry).

2) A mobile app that would allow for the remote monitor and control of home appliances to reduce energy use in the home.

3) A web app for virtual net metering

4) PowerHive produced a service that would send messages via sms to the users of its service in the developing world warning them of impending bad weather and how to change the use of their renewable energy system so conserve power throughout the duration of the bad weather.

5) The final app and the winner of the competition was an app that provided a car dealership a means by which to illustrate the benefits of going solar and purchasing an electric vehicle.
